Developing antibodies against non-immunogenic compounds is our differential strength. In 2009, we created the Custom Antibody Service (CAbS), a scientific-technical service under the umbrella of the CSIC and CIBER-BBN. Since then, CAbS provide a wide range of services related to the production, purification and characterization of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies against small molecules, macromolecules and other targets, and their use in immunoanalytical assays.

The Custom Antibody Service constitutes the unit 2 of NANBIOSIS, one of the Spanish Unique Science and Technology Infrastructures (ICTS).

We have the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the development and production of monoclonal antibodies. Our Quality Policy is at your disposal.

Our services

Scientific and technical support

Scientific and technical support and advice on immunogen design, immunoreagent synthesis and production, antibody production and immunoassay design and development.

Preparation of bioconjugates and molecular probes

Protein and hapten conjugation services with different types of molecules such as: Enzymes, Fluorophores, Biotin, KLH, BSA, gold particles, magnetic particles, nanotubes… Preparation of antibody fragments.

Hapten synthesis

Selection of suitable leading structures for antigen preparation, hapten synthesis, hapten modification and derivation.

Polyclonal antibody production

Production of polyclonal antibodies through a complete standard immunization protocol that can be adapted to your project, with a minutiously monitorization of the immune response evolution.

Monoclonal antibody development

Monoclonal antibodies developed on rats and mice. Cultivation of the myeloma cell line, cell fusion, selection in HAT medium and screening. Cloning, screening and cultivation of positive cultures. Further cloning and obtaining stable clones. Expansion and cryoconservation of the selected clones. Delivery of cell culture supernatants and frozen hybridoma cells.

Hybridoma cell culture antibody production

Hybridoma cell culture in ultralow serum medium. We use CELLine™ Bioreactor Technologys to produce monoclonal antibodies.

Antibody purification

From crude methods (precipitation of the proteins from the sample including any antibody present) to general purification (purification by affinity of certain classes of antibodies without considering the specificity to the antigen) and specific purification (purification by affinity of the antibodies which join specifically to a definite antigen).
