New project awarded in collaboration with IDIBAPS

The Carlos III Health Institute, in its call Proyectos de Desarrollo Tecnológico en Salud, has resolved to fund the project PH-Care: Development and Validation of a point-of-care assay for the diagnosis and prognosis of portal hypertension.

This project, coordinated by the researcher Jordi Gracia-Sancho, from the Liver Vascular Biology group of IDIBAPS Biomedical Research Institute, counts on the participation of M.-Pilar Marco, Núria Pascual and J.-Pablo Salvador, and aims at improving diagnostics of hepatic diseases by targeting a health disorder as is the portal hypertension. The project has been greatly qualified, funded for 3 years and is set to take off the 1^st January 2023.

This project means, for the Nb4D, beginning an interesting collaboration with the group of Jordi Gracia that hopefully will be very fruitful in next years and will suppose an opportunity to dive into diagnosing a family of diseases so far unexplored by us, namely those ones affecting the liver.
