The pitch of the project of the Nb4D group, presented in the final competition of the EBTOn 2024 organized by CSIC, was awarded one of the four prizes valued in 20.000€ to fund activities oriented to the constitution of a spin-off company. The defense of the 9 finalist pitches in front of an external committee and the presentation of awards took place in Valencia, the last 10th October.
This was the last part of the EBTOn 2024, whose first initial phase had been celebrated in Valencia as well three weeks ago. Then, Carla Ferrero, J.-Pablo Salvador and Francesc Bejarano attended an intensive training to prepare and defense a pitch which was among the selected ones for the final competition in October 10th. In this final phase, the same three Nb4D members attended to present a more developed and extensive pitch which was considered by the committe commendable to get the funding.
The committee was conformed by Ana Carrau, CEO of the Impact Project and member of WA4STEAM, Daniel Ramón, distinguished Research Fellowship Microbiome ADM, Jaime Esteban, Venture Capital Manager of Redit Ventures, Reyes Sansegundo, Manager of the European Programs and Technology Transfer area from Madri+d and Werner Zippold, partner of Strafields.
The whole group is very happy for the recognizement and feeling that this achievement can constitute an important milestone in our way to valorize our technologies and get closer to the market.
